Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and system logs to identify potential security breaches and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal and external systems.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure network architecture design.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is a plus.
- Basic understanding of computer networks, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and TCP/IP.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to obtain certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP as part of the paid training program.
- Ability to pass a background check and security clearance screening.
