Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Investigate and document cybersecurity incidents using standardized protocols
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network assets
- Develop incident response reports and remediation action plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry compliance standards (NIST, ISO)
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent experience (IT/Security preferred)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to obtain Security+ or CEH certification during program
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 operations coverage
- US citizenship or valid work authorization required
- Pass background check and drug screening
