Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic, security systems, and endpoints to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs.
- Execute incident response plans and coordinate with internal teams to mitigate security breaches.
- Analyze security logs and generate detailed reports for management and regulatory compliance.
- Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
- Stay updated on the latest cyber threats and emerging technologies to proactively defend the network.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, OR equivalent professional experience.
- Strong willingness to complete our comprehensive paid cybersecurity training curriculum.
- Fundamental knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting technical findings to stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a proactive mindset regarding risk management.
- Ability to obtain required security clearances and certifications as required by the role.
