Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic, systems, and applications for suspicious activities, vulnerabilities, and security breaches.
- Conduct security assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents, including malware analysis and phishing investigations.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and relevant industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO).
- Generate detailed reports on security events, system health, and incident resolutions for management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong understanding of computer networks, TCP/IP protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts (e.g., CIA triad, malware types) is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
