Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and prioritize incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Analyze malware and develop mitigation strategies for zero-day threats
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and GDPR standards
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed forensic reports
- Participate in red team exercises and threat hunting initiatives
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing)
