Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct forensic analysis of security incidents and develop mitigation strategies
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities and patch management
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry best practices (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST)
- Participate in penetration testing and security awareness training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on security operations experience
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in network protocols, TCP/IP, and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent written/verbal communication and documentation abilities
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel 10% of the time
