Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Investigate and remediate security breaches and incidents with minimal downtime.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., NIST, HIPAA).
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed, accurate incident reports.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to design secure network architectures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security operations.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with SIEM solutions and threat intelligence platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
