Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and tickets in the SIEM system (Splunk/Datadog).
- Perform triage and initial response to cybersecurity incidents.
- Conduct vulnerability scans and basic network configuration reviews.
- Document security incidents and create detailed reports for leadership.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to patch identified vulnerabilities.
- Assist in the deployment of security patches and software updates.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field preferred.
- Willingness to Relocate: Must be willing to move to California.
- Basic understanding of computer networks (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and obtain relevant security certifications (e.g., Security+).
