Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms
- Investigate potential security incidents and escalate critical threats
- Document security events using standardized reporting frameworks
- Participate in simulated cyber-attack exercises and drills
- Collaborate with incident response teams during live threat scenarios
- Apply foundational security principles to protect digital assets
- Complete 40+ hours of paid cybersecurity certification training
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS)
- Passion for cybersecurity and willingness to learn continuously
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts (including nights/weekends)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification within 6 months
- Valid U.S. government security clearance eligibility (required)
- Must pass background check and drug screening
