Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and triage potential incidents
- Conduct forensic analysis of security breaches and document detailed incident reports
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during incident response and disaster recovery
- Stay updated on emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Assist in developing security policies and procedures for compliance frameworks
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, SOC, or incident response roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency with security tools (Splunk, Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike)
- Experience with network protocols, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently during night shifts
- Excellent written communication for incident reporting and documentation
