Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems 24/7, analyzing alerts for potential threats
- Investigate cybersecurity incidents, determine root causes, and coordinate remediation efforts
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends through continuous learning
- Participate in rotating on-call duties for critical incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and incident response frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in high-pressure situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours with minimal supervision
