Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and analyze security alerts 24/7 during night shift hours
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents including malware, intrusions, and data breaches
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Document incident reports and maintain security event logs for compliance
- Conduct threat intelligence analysis to proactively identify emerging risks
- Participate in incident response drills and security awareness training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or incident response roles
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat actors
- Experience with NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours with minimal supervision
- Excellent written communication for incident reporting and documentation
