Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and security tools to detect/respond to threats in real-time
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and root cause analysis
- Implement vulnerability management protocols and patch remediation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during security incidents
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts for threat detection
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive summaries
- Stay current with emerging threats and attack methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in security operations or incident response
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and cloud security
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours
- Excellent written communication for incident reporting
