Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with NIST framework compliance
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and executive summaries
- Stay current on emerging threats and threat intelligence
- Participate in security awareness training for internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in IDS/IPS (Snort, Suricata), firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet)
- Experience with threat hunting methodologies and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in high-pressure situations
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
