Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents across enterprise networks and cloud environments
- Analyze SIEM alerts and correlate data from multiple security tools to identify threats
- Conduct forensic investigations and prepare detailed incident reports for stakeholders
- Implement and maintain security controls aligned with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during security drills and real-time incident responses
- Document security procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Stay current on emerging threats and vulnerability trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+ certification
- Proficiency in network protocols, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux systems and cloud security architectures
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration
- Valid U.S. government security clearance or ability to obtain one
