Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for 24/7 incident detection
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on enterprise systems
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols
- Document security incidents and forensic investigations with detailed reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate security gaps
- Stay current with emerging threats and adapt security strategies accordingly
- Participate in weekend on-call rotation for critical incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with focus on threat detection/response
- Strong knowledge of NIST, CIS Controls, and ISO 27001 frameworks
- Certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or OSCP) required
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network architecture
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for technical reporting
