Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events on equity options trading platforms during night shift hours
- Investigate and respond to potential cyber threats, including intrusion attempts and data breaches
- Implement and maintain security controls for financial systems and sensitive trading data
- Collaborate with day shift teams to ensure seamless security operations
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on financial applications
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats specific to financial services and equity markets
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience, preferably in financial services
- Strong knowledge of SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat detection methodologies
- Certification (CISSP, CISM, or CEH) preferred
- Understanding of financial regulations (SOX, PCI-DSS, GDPR)
- Experience with network security protocols and encryption standards
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
