Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity across global networks
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware outbreaks and unauthorized access attempts
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and recommend mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and adapt defense strategies accordingly
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry-specific regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, including SIEM analysis
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CEH) preferred
- Proficiency in threat detection tools (Splunk, QRadar, CrowdStrike)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and system architectures
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
