Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for real-time threat detection and incident response
- Conduct forensic investigations on security breaches and cyberattacks
- Implement and maintain firewall rules, IDS/IPS configurations, and endpoint protection solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate vulnerabilities and patch management
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and security trend analyses
- Perform proactive threat hunting using MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Document security protocols and compliance adherence (NIST, ISO 27001)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations or cybersecurity incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Expertise in network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and hybrid environments
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent written communication for reporting and documentation
