Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts across SIEM platforms during overnight shifts
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and coordinate incident response protocols
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Generate comprehensive security reports and threat intelligence summaries for leadership
- Stay current with emerging cyber threats and mitigation strategies through continuous research
- Maintain compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, preferably in SOC operations
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification strongly preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat detection methodologies
- Strong understanding of network protocols, system architectures, and attack vectors
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight shifts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting complex technical issues
