Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and analyze network traffic using Splunk, QRadar, and AlienVault
- Investigate security incidents, determine root cause, and implement containment measures
- Document incident reports with detailed timelines and remediation steps
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during security events and major incidents
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Update security policies and procedures based on emerging threats
- Conduct regular security audits and compliance reviews for financial services clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with SIEM platform experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and security tools
- Strong analytical skills for threat hunting and incident investigation
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
- Experience with Windows/Linux environments and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check
