As a Night Shift Cybersecurity Analyst, you'll be the first line of defense against sophisticated cyber threats. You'll monitor security systems, investigate anomalies, and implement mitigation strategies—all while maintaining peak alertness during overnight hours. Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security incidents and anomalous activity during overnight hours
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches, malware, and network intrusions
- Collaborate with global SOC teams to coordinate incident response and remediation
- Generate comprehensive incident reports with actionable intelligence for stakeholders
- Implement security controls and vulnerability patches during maintenance windows
- Stay current with emerging threats and attack vectors through continuous research
- Participate in tabletop exercises to refine incident response protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years in SOC operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and network analysis
- Experience with Windows/Linux systems and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Ability to maintain situational awareness during overnight shifts
- Strong written communication for incident documentation
- Flexibility to work 12-hour night shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
