Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms during night shift hours
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with rapid containment protocols
- Conduct forensic analysis of security breaches and document detailed incident reports
- Implement and maintain security controls for cloud infrastructure and network systems
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to ensure seamless security operations handover
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical assets
- Stay current with emerging threats and adapt defense strategies accordingly
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or cybersecurity analysis
- Professional certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or Sentinel) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud architectures, and threat vectors
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent written communication skills for incident reporting and documentation
- Must be willing to work 12-hour rotating night shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
