Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM platforms during overnight shifts
- Investigate potential security incidents and initiate mitigation protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex security breaches
- Document incident reports and maintain security event logs
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Stay current with emerging cyber threats and defense techniques
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incidents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in a SOC environment
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong understanding of network protocols and attack vectors
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for incident reporting
