Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and system logs in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify potential cyber threats and anomalies.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify and remediate security weaknesses.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis, phishing campaigns, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and other network security controls to enforce security policies.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure software development lifecycles (SDLC) and cloud infrastructure security.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation of security events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or a related IT role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, OSI model, and common security protocols.
- Familiarity with cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container security.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
