Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and implement remediation procedures
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls across cloud and on-premises environments
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Participate in security awareness training and phishing simulation campaigns
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (required)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 security operations center coverage
