Responsibilities
- Monitor & Detect: Analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk/Sentinel) to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead or support the investigation and remediation of security breaches and incidents.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration testing to identify and patch security gaps.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal security policies and external regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2).
- Access Control: Manage user access rights and perform periodic audits of system permissions.
- Security Awareness: Train staff on security best practices and phishing awareness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH is strongly preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security analysis.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting; experience with firewalls (Cisco/Palo Alto) and IDS/IPS systems.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
