Apex SecureTech is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our elite security operations center. In this pivotal role, you will lead the charge in identifying, analyzing, and responding to security threats. Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to detect potential breaches.
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and risk analysis to identify weak points in the network infrastructure.
- Respond to security incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery procedures.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI-DSS through regular audits and reporting.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security best practices and secure coding standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Active certification such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CISM is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a cybersecurity or information security role.
- Strong proficiency with SIEM platforms, network security appliances, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and common attack vectors.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
