Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to detect potential intrusions and suspicious activities.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis, phishing attempts, and unauthorized access, with minimal downtime.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and code reviews to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards, including NIST, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and Network Engineering teams to implement patches and remediation strategies.
- Document incident reports, trends, and threat intelligence to improve overall security posture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certification preferred: Security+, CEH, CISSP, or CompTIA Network+.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a SOC or Network Security environment.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure during critical incidents.
- Strong communication skills to articulate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
