Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events through SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify and remediate system weaknesses.
- Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security infrastructure to enforce network security policies.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid recovery.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and NIST.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or information security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking, operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), and virtualization.
- Experience with security tools including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM platforms.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
