Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructures
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches
- Analyze security logs and forensic data to identify attack patterns
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy security controls and best practices
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry compliance standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or similar environment
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of NIST frameworks and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication abilities for technical and non-technical audiences
