Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect potential threats.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents in a timely manner to minimize business impact.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewalls and IDS/IPS.
- Develop and update security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden systems.
- Produce detailed reports on security metrics, incidents, and compliance status.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
- Certifications preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), operating systems (Windows/Linux), and databases.
- Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability scanners.
- Ability to analyze complex data and communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be willing to work on-site in Las Vegas, NV.
