Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Events: Analyze log data and security alerts from SIEM tools to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security breaches, ensuring rapid containment and recovery.
- Threat Hunting: Conduct proactive searches for malicious activity within the network to identify hidden risks before they escalate.
- Security Hardening: Regularly assess and patch systems, configure firewalls, and implement security controls to strengthen the organization's defense posture.
- Compliance & Auditing: Assist in maintaining compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA through regular audits and documentation.
- Vulnerability Management: Coordinate with IT teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities identified by scanning tools and penetration testing.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is required.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and familiarity with malware analysis and forensics.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and common network protocols.
- Tools: Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) or automation tools is a plus.
