Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools to ensure rapid threat containment.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network architecture.
- Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and anti-malware solutions.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement secure coding practices and patch management strategies.
- Perform security audits and provide detailed reports on system security posture to stakeholders.
- Train employees on security awareness and best practices to prevent phishing and social engineering attacks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Proficiency with security tools including Splunk, SIEM platforms, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during incident response.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
