Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events through SIEM tools to identify and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses before malicious actors can exploit them.
- Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security controls to protect network infrastructure.
- Enforce corporate security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, creating detailed reports on root causes and resolution.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into software development and system administration processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Valid certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC is highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or network security administration.
- Strong working knowledge of SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence sources.
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows server environments and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
