Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust security policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
- Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and development teams to secure cloud environments and application architectures.
- Manage firewall configurations and intrusion prevention systems (IPS) to block malicious traffic.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and common attack vectors (e.g., phishing, malware, ransomware).
- Proficiency with security tools including Splunk, Snort, Wireshark, or FireEye.
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows server hardening.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
