Responsibilities
- Monitor & Analyze: Continuously monitor network traffic and security systems for suspicious activities, anomalies, and potential intrusions.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate the investigation, containment, and eradication of cybersecurity incidents and data breaches.
- Security Architecture: Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other security controls.
- Compliance: Ensure the organization adheres to internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, SOC2).
- Education & Training: Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees on best practices and phishing threats.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Certifications: Active certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Bash.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI models, and network security protocols.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
