Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security systems 24/7 to identify, analyze, and respond to potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans to ensure robust protection.
- Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and endpoint protection solutions.
- Lead the incident response process for security breaches, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into software development and network architecture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and log analysis.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation and threat hunting.
