Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage firewall rules, IDS/IPS policies, and other network security controls.
- Investigate security incidents and coordinate response efforts with IT teams and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Develop and maintain documentation for security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate security best practices into the SDLC.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Cybersecurity Analyst or SOC role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with security tools including Firewalls, Anti-Malware, and DLP solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting to executive leadership.
