In this pivotal role, you will serve as the guardian of our digital infrastructure. You will proactively monitor for threats, respond to security incidents with urgency, and ensure our compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) dashboards to detect, analyze, and respond to potential cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in the network infrastructure.
- Lead incident response efforts, including containment, eradication, and recovery from security breaches.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to implement security patches and software updates.
- Document security incidents, create playbooks, and maintain detailed logs for auditing purposes.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, or GSEC are strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm, or Microsoft Sentinel).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to senior management.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a high-pressure environment.
