Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify system weaknesses.
- Lead the response to security incidents, including incident triage, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Enforce and update security policies, procedures, and standards across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Perform regular security audits and compliance checks (NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Provide security training and awareness to staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, OSI), operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
