Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, including malware analysis and phishing attempts.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Manage firewall rules and network segmentation to reduce the attack surface.
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy security patches and updates promptly.
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed logs for audit purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certification such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SOC or Threat Intelligence roles.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or Bash) for automation.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
