Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network architecture and systems.
- Implement and maintain security protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and endpoint protection solutions.
- Manage incident response procedures, including forensics, root cause analysis, and recovery after security breaches.
- Ensure strict compliance with regulatory frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA, and GDPR.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
- Certifications preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking, and operating systems (Windows and Linux).
- Proficiency in security tools such as FireEye, Snort, or similar IDS/IPS systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while adhering to strict deadlines.
