Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events within SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses before attackers exploit them.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Lead and coordinate incident response activities during security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 through audits and policy enforcement.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Produce detailed security reports and metrics for stakeholders to demonstrate the effectiveness of our security posture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience is accepted.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GCIH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and forensic analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel for on-site security assessments as required.
