Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security anomalies and incident detection
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches and cyber threats
- Develop and implement security controls for network and cloud environments
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Generate comprehensive security incident reports and executive summaries
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into infrastructure
- Stay current on emerging threats and countermeasures through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- Certifications required: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and common attack vectors
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, SANS)
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 operations coverage
