Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cybersecurity incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security controls, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Investigate security breaches and coordinate incident response activities
- Generate detailed security reports and executive summaries
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and common attack vectors
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
