Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for security anomalies and potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal systems.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs to ensure robust network security.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents in a timely manner, following incident response protocols.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to secure cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO).
- Document security configurations and maintain detailed incident logs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common security protocols.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) and log analysis.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple security alerts simultaneously.
