Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and analyze threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on cloud/on-premises environments
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches and cyberattacks
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and runbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in threat detection/response
- Certifications: CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in network security protocols (TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize critical incidents
- Excellent written communication for reporting and documentation
