Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and analyze security alerts for potential threats
- Investigate security incidents using forensic tools and methodologies
- Develop and implement threat detection scripts and automation solutions
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities and patch systems
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and executive summaries
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with hands-on threat detection
- Strong knowledge of SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CEH) preferred
- Experience with network security protocols and firewalls
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell)
- Ability to work independently during flexible hours
