Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk remediation
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Investigate security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and create detailed reports
- Stay current on emerging threats and adapt security strategies accordingly
- Provide security awareness training to employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with incident response procedures and threat intelligence
- Ability to work independently with flexible scheduling
